Sherry Ann McGregor was appointed to the Board of Directors of 糖心视频 in April 2026, bringing to the institution more than 25 years of distinguished service in the legal profession. An attorney-at-law since 1999, she has extensive experience in family law, civil and commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and insurance litigation.
Ms McGregor has been a Partner in the Litigation Department at Nunes Scholefield DeLeon & Co. since 2006, following her earlier tenure as an Associate from 2000 to 2005. She has also contributed to legal education as a tutor in Civil Practice and Procedure (Family Law) at the Norman Manley Law School from 2008 to 2013.
A respected leader within the Jamaican Bar Association, she served in several executive capacities: President (2016–2017), Vice President (2014–2016), Treasurer (2013–2014), and Assistant Treasurer (2012–2013). From 2016 to 2018, she represented the Association on the Council of Legal Education, the regional body governing the law schools of Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and The Bahamas. She also chaired the Legal & Ethical Sub-Committee of the National AIDS Committee from 2007 to 2009.
For more than 15 years, Ms McGregor authored ‘Laws of Eve’, a widely read weekly column in The Gleaner’s Flair Magazine, offering accessible commentary on legal issues. She continues to share her expertise through presentations at seminars and professional forums.
Her governance experience includes long-standing service as a Director of EdgeChem Jamaica Ltd. since 2018 and previous directorships with the Dispute Resolution Foundation (2014–2018) and JN General Insurance Company Limited (2015-2025). She also holds membership on several committees, including the UWI Research Ethics Committee and the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s Corporate Governance Index Review Committee, and previously served on the Board of Management of Wolmer’s High School for Girls (2010–2015).
A Supreme Court-certified mediator and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Ms McGregor earned her LL.B. (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies in 1997 and her Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in 1999.
